Fundamentally, Sable works as an elegant metaphor for growing up, expressed via soothing, lo-fi open world explorations and a stunning artistic identity that never wears thin. The short answer is a resounding and moving yes. But was there a game underneath the initial visual impact? Its instantly recognisable art – in the form of grand cel-shaded vistas and a goat-headed character bouncing over multi-coloured sand dunes – was always destined to be GIFed and tweeted.
